Danielle Christensen - Owner
Being a local Boonah girl it is exciting to be opening our first shop front business in the main street of Boonah. After completing High School in Boonah my first job was only 100m up the street from Boonah Blossoms & More. I am very excited to now own a business in my home town.

When the opportunity arose to purchase the florist shop in Boonah our son Richard a florist of 15 years and I spoke about it and decided together we could make this work for our families. Richard always wanted to be a florist and from an early age would pick wild flowers and weeds and transformed them into a beautiful table arrangement. He would pick flowers from his Grandma's garden next door and make corsages for his teachers. At the age of 11 he started exhibiting in the local agricultural shows and won many prizes. In his early 20's he started competing in Interflora competitions and won Junior Florist of the year and competed in the Australian titles in Western Australia.

Richard loves working with fresh flowers which we source from local growers in the Scenic Rim and Ipswich areas as well as from the Brisbane Markets. Richard enjoys working on weddings and events to make a bold statement with flowers for all to enjoy. We also carry a range of gifts and locally sourced craft items.
Richard Christensen - Florist
Growing up on a dairy farm in Rosevale, Scenic Rim, I got my inspiration at an early age creating arrangements for my grandmother and mother from the various crops we grew. In my teens I started successfully entering floral designs on the local show circuit and my passion for the flower and horticultural industry continued to grow. Floristry quickly became a career for me, as I loved using unique and interesting materials to create mind blowing, award-winning arrangements.

My Floristry achievements include:
• Interflora Queensland Junior 2011
• Florist of the Future 2011
Interflora People's Choice winner 2012
• Florist of the Year 'Mystery Box' First place 2015
• Florist of the year 'Duplication' Second place 2015
• Florist of the year 'Fascination' Second place2015
• Florist of the year Third place 2016
• Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2010-2017
• Brisbane Ekka 'Mystery Box' winner 2019

I find floristry very fulfilling, to be able to design eye-catching creations and to see how flowers can bring much happiness and warmth to everyday life. It is rewarding for me to see people's reactions to my creations – a smile paints a thousand words!
